Chenetha Colour Weaves - Product Range
In its first year, CCW is undertaking Product Development in the Ikat handloom cluster of Nalgonda district in Andhra Pradesh. Ikat is a handloom process of tying and dying yarn (warp, weft or both) and then weaving it into beautiful geometrical patterns on the fabric. This technique is highly intricate and unique to the states of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa in India. It is also employed in countries of Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Its uniqueness of form and design makes it an extremely good prospect for marketing.
The in house product range in the first year in cotton would be as follows:
- Yardage fabric : Apparel and furnishings
- Home textiles : Bed covers, Cushion covers, Curtains
- Fashion accessories : Dupattas & Stoles
In event of customized requirement of specific Buyers, these products would also be designed and developed in silk and /or cotton silk blends.
The following products would be produced against specific or job work orders:
- Conference folders, bags
- Sarees
